The HOSA-Future Health Professionals State Competition took place on Saturday March 21st at Salem High School.
It was truly a day filled with professionalism, collaboration, networking, education, competition, and celebration.
We had 12 First year students from our Health Profession program participate in the competition. They represented our CTE program exceptionally well. Their teachers were incredibly impressed by their professionalism, preparation, and dedication throughout the entire day. They engaged meaningfully in their events, supported one another, and carried themselves with confidence and maturity in a large, competitive setting.
It was rewarding to see them apply their learning in a real-world context while also building connections and gaining exposure to future opportunities in healthcare.
The following HST 1 students placed in the top 3 and qualified for the international competition:
Cesia Banegas Peralta World Health Disparities 1st Place
Ariana Colon Medical Spelling 2nd Place
Ester Da Silva Amorim Medical Math 3rd Place
Misel Medina Zorrilla Research Poster 2nd Place
Amber Dionne Healthcare Photography 1st Place
